Camden Geoserve is a registered Closed Corporation and opened the doors in 1994 right before the First Democratic Elections held in South Africa. A time of change in South Africa and a world full of new opportunities. From that day Mr Peter Camden-Smith has never looked back. With a wealth of experience and a perfectionist streak Camden Geoserve and Mr Peter Camden-Smith have created a team of excellent individuals.
Camden Geoserve has a large variety of staff. Some on contract and some on permanent payroll. Those on contract are other like minded Micro Enterprises that have a symbiotic relationship with Camden Geoserve.
This enables Camden Geoserve the opportunity to have an elite workforce with many of the industry’s top professionals.
Peter Camden-Smith graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1975, completed his Honors degree in 1976, an M.Sc. (University of Cape Town) in 1980 and an MBL (UNISA) degree in 1995 and also holds a graduate diploma in mining engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (1985). His combined oil exploration and basin analysis (Soekor), mineral exploration, mining and managerial career extends over thirty years. Peter Camden-Smith resigned from Randgold as a Consultant Geologist managing the Mineral Resource Inventory on four Witwatersrand mines (Harmony, Blyvooruitzicht, DRD, and ERPM) and a Barberton Greenstone Belt mine in 1994.
